Annie Lennox

Annie Lennox, born 25th December 1954 in Aberdeen Scotland. Dorothy Farquharson is her mother as is Thomas Allison Lennox, father. Lennox attended Lennox's Royal Academy of Music, London during the 1970s. She was a harpsichord student and the flautist piano for 3 years. She was able to survive on her student stipend while working part time jobs. Lennox decided to change her profession after she became dissatisfied by her lack of skill in the same way as other Royal Academy students. Lennox became part of the group Dragons Playground as the flute player in the year 1976. The group broke up prior to their appearance in I.T.V's Talent show New Faces. From 1977 to 1980, she was the lead vocalist for The Tourists, a British Pop band. They met Dave Stewart, with whom formed the pop-duo Eurythmics. Lennox went on to record her solo debut album Diva. This was released in 1992. It became a huge hit both critically and commercially. Nostalgia Lennoxs 6th solo album came out in October of 2014. This C.D. is a selection of Lennoxs favourite blues and soul jazz songs from her childhood. Lepidoptera features four keyboard tracks. The E.P. The first single from her debut album"Now I'm Letting You Go... was released as the perfect accompaniment to her work of work in the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art. Annie Lennox was born in 1954 on December 25. She is a social activist, philanthropist as well as a singer. After minor recognition as part of the new wave band The Tourists in the late 1970s she and fellow musician Dave Stewart went on to be recognized as the pop duo Eurythmics during the 1980s. Lennox began her solo career in 1992 with the release of Diva, which featured many of her most popular songs such as Why and Walking on Broken Glass. Medusa the studio album, which was released in 1995, has the versions of a few of her best-loved songs, including No MoreI Always Love Yous (and A Whiter Shade of Pale). She is credited with the release of six studio albums on her own and one compilation.
